This is a showcase for my freelance writing. On the right are links to three subject areas: Diabetes, Other Reporting, and Humor, etc.
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1973 at the age of 9. It's given me lots to write about over the years. Click that link, and you’ll find my personal stories and some factual reporting. If you’re looking for more information about diabetes, I recommend the American Diabetes Association’s site: www.diabetes.org.
"Other Reporting" includes articles on medical/scientific topics other than diabetes.
“Humor, etc.” is a collection of writings in which I attempt to be funny and/or insightful. Please let me know if I’ve succeeded!

Everything on this site was written "on the side." In my day job, I write medical news stories for doctors on a wide range of topics--including diabetes, of course. That work is not on this site, but please email me (Miriam@miriametucker.com) if you'd like to know where to find it.
